I'm Jana, a sewist, quilter, and lifelong maker. Fifteen years ago my Nana gave me her sea green 1960s Bernina, and sewing became my creative outlet ever since. I trained in mathematics and spent years in data analysis before leaving it for something slower done by hand, though that background still shows up in how I build a quilt. My work lives between improvisation and structure, pieced blocks mixed with improvisational techniques, composed on the design wall so each quilt finds its own shape.

Sawtooth Sewing is a collection of stitches, ideas, and the occasional rabbit hole.
